Sarasota Dental Arts is an adult-only, fee-for-service general dental practice in south Sarasota, Florida, with a focus on cosmetic and complex restorative work. One doctor. One location. Time spent right.
Sarasota Dental Arts was built around a different idea of what dental care should feel like: longer appointments, fewer patients per day, and one doctor who knows your case from your first visit forward. We are out-of-network with all dental insurance, and we treat adults exclusively. That is on purpose.
Design first,

The best dentistry does not look like dentistry. The best restoration is the one nobody can identify. The best smile makeover is one your family compliments without being able to say what changed. We approach every case as a design problem first — how will this look in your face, in your photos, in your bite, in ten years — and only then as a technical procedure.
This approach takes more time at the planning stage and requires materials and lab partnerships we have built deliberately over years. It does not fit the insurance-driven volume model. So we are out-of-network, and we charge fee-for-service rates, and the patients who come to us are the patients who want care done that way.
Convictions

Adult-only. Pediatric dentistry is a different specialty with a different rhythm. We focus on what we do well.
Out-of-network. Insurance networks pay practices to take less time per patient. We chose time over network membership. We help you submit claims so you can recover your out-of-network benefit.
One doctor. You see Dr. Chevance at every visit. No hand-offs to associates, no rotating providers. Continuity is the point.
Quoted in writing. Every treatment plan comes with a written fee at the consult. No surprises, no add-ons.
Conservative first. We propose the most conservative option that gets you the outcome. Bonding before veneers. Whitening before bonding. Aligners before veneers if alignment is the issue.
Honest about what we cannot do. When a case is outside our scope — pediatric, oral surgery, advanced periodontal disease — we refer to trusted specialists rather than dabble.
