A new-patient visit at Sarasota Dental Arts is 90 minutes — long enough to actually examine, listen, and discuss. We do comprehensive exams, periodontal probing, digital radiographs as needed, intraoral photography, and oral cancer screening at the first visit. Hygiene cleanings are scheduled separately so each visit gets full attention.
The visit,
step by step.
1. Welcome & intake. Your forms are already complete (or we hand you a tablet). Coffee, water, comfortable seating.
2. Conversation. Before any clinical work, Dr. Chevance asks what brought you in, what you want changed, and what your priorities are.
3. Comprehensive exam. Full periodontal probing on every tooth, oral cancer screening, intraoral photography, and any radiographs your case calls for.
4. Findings & options. We review what we found together, on a screen. You see what we see. We present treatment options, not a single take-it-or-leave-it plan.
5. Written plan. You leave with a written plan and a written fee for whatever you decide to move forward with. No pressure to commit at the visit.

A photo ID, your insurance card if you want us to help with claims, a list of any medications you take, and a list of questions or concerns you want to address. If you have recent x-rays from another practice, those are helpful but not required — we will take what we need.
