Preventive dentistry includes routine professional cleanings, comprehensive examinations, digital radiographs as indicated, intraoral photography, oral cancer screening, periodontal probing, and personalized home-care guidance. At Sarasota Dental Arts, a preventive visit is 60 minutes for an established patient and 90 minutes for a new patient. We do not double-book hygiene rooms.

Twice a year is the standard recommendation for most healthy adults. Patients with periodontal history may benefit from a three- or four-month interval. We tailor your recall schedule at your first visit.
